On February 28, 2024, we hosted our inaugural Maria Sempertegui FirstGen Future Women (FGFW) session at Odessa Shannon MIddle School.  The workshop was scheduled because the school counselor, Michelle Rivas-Hernandez, made clear that there is a real need for the young women to meet professional female mentors.  We learned a great deal during the session that will be used to improve future FGFW workshops.  Huge thank you to the mentors that made a difference in the lives of the young women:
